Drew Nursery School now offers 4 unique programs for children from ages 2 through 4.  Please contact our administration office for more information on any of our programs.   DREWS TWOS This program is designed to introduce toddlers to the skills they will need for nursery school.  It is a mommy and me program that follows a basic structure and routine similar to that of our nursery school curriculum focused on communication, team work and sharing.  This class meets one hour. 15 minutes per week for a six week session. PLAYMATES The playmates class is our program for 3 year olds.  It is a structured class that is aimed to develop children's language skills, communication skills, cooperation and teamwork.  The class includes free play, structured play, story time, crafts, projects and other group activities to help children develop their skills.  Children go over such topics as the calendar, the weather, the pledge, numbers and letters.  This class is open to children 3 years of age and is held two days a week. PRE-K The Pre-K program is designed to help children develop their skills in preparation for Kindergarten.  It expands on all of the skills the children were introduced to in Playmates.  The class follows a structured schedule covering the calendar, the weather, the pledge, daily lesson plans, letters, math, social studies, science and physical education.  Children are encouraged to work in groups as well as independently.  This program also includes special events such as music, library and show and tell.  This class is open to children 4 years of age and is held 3 days a week. PRE-K ENRICHMENT The Enrichment program is an extension of the three day a week Pre-K program.  It is designed to further emphasize the monthly themes, skills and academics which are covered in the Pre-K class.  The additional time allows for increased opportunities to participate in art, crafts, cooking, journaling, dramatics and "person of the month" projects.  The small class size allows for more one-on-one attention from the teacher for each student as well.  This class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is offered in conjunction with our Pre-K Program. SUMMER CAMP During the summer, we offer a five week camp which is open to any child who has completed the school year with us.  Each week features a different theme and you may select as many or as few as you would like.  It's the perfect way for your child to enjoy some summer fun in a safe and familiar environment.
